Overall Evaluation of unit X

Overall I have throughly enjoyed my unit x project. I feel I have shown a great variety of digital prints being created into and inspired collection of gifts. I feel I have make great use of the techniques and workshops I have learnt through out this year within my work. Although I struggled at the start of this project and decided to change my idea half way through I am still very proud of what I have created within my work. At the start of this unit I felt that I was going to struggle with how much independence we had been given to get on with our own work, having one tutorial a week made me feel a bit uneasy at first but once i started to design and create I found that I worked very well in my own time and found the tutorials very helpful to get feedback and to be given some great advice which gave me that extra push. 

At the start of the year I felt extremely overwhelmed with the thought of doing anything on photoshop as I had not used it a great lot before I started Textiles. Digital Prints was something I felt would never be good at, then come to find its now my favourite preferred way of working within print. I am extremely grateful for all the digital session that we have had with sally over this year as it had brought me on so much with my photoshop skills, also taking advice from my friends on this course has helped huge amounts as they are very familiar with photoshop, I found that meeting up with friends that are doing similar work to me is helpful as they may be doing something I didn't originally think about, then inspiring me to do this within my work but in my own style. 

In conclusion I can say that I have enjoyed the unit x project. I am very proud of the range of prints and collection of gift shop styled work I have created for the exhibition. This unit has made me realise that I should have more confidence with myself in creating my work, as I feel I have done a great job even when being give so much independence.
