REACTIVE DYES

I chose to experiment with reactive dyes just because I had never done it before. I was intreated to see how it comes out onto prints and I wanted to learn how the process of it all works.

Safety wear gloves when working with steamer 

Turn on steamer 

screen print dye 

Dry 

Wrap print in fabrics before going In steamer 

put in steamer for 10 mins 

Wash with cold water 

Wash with hot water with neutral detergent 

Then cold again until dye is gone 

Put in spinner for 30 secs 

Dry with heat press or iron
